Romana B. Medina passed away, January 23, 2012 at the age of 88. Born August 9, 1923, in Pearsal, Texas. The daughter of Gregorio and Luisa (Reyes) Barajas. Romana married Natividad Medina Sr. on November 15, 1945, in St. Johns. Natividad preceded her in death on November 8, 1993.
Romana is survived by her son, Cesar (Judy) Medina of St. Johns, two daughters, Alicia (Steven) Hunt of Portland, MI, Berta Medina of St. Johns, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, three sisters, Elida Saldivar, Adelfia Rudeas, Elvira Gonzales, one brother, Jose Barajas as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Natividad, Jr., two brothers, one sister, two grandchildren and one great grandson.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 28, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Johns, with Fr. Eoin Murphy officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Rest Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends, Friday, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., with a Vigil Service at 7 p.m., at The Osgood Funeral Home in St. Johns.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church. The family was served by The Osgood Funeral Homes.

Cesar, Judy, Shelly, and Medina family…..I’m so sorry to read of the loss of your mom/grama. Cesar, Judy and the entire Medina family, condolences on the loss of Romanita…such a beautiful lady and always had such a beauitful smile for all and such a genuine person. Romanita will dearly be missed by all who were blessed to know my madrina.
